Abstract
Exercise headache is a headache with recurrent episodes, lasting less than 48 hours, caused by strenuous physical exercise, occurs during or after exercise. Around 20 percent of cases with exercise headache are secondary: subarachnoid hemorrhage, metastatic brain tumor, sinusitis, vertebral artery aneurysm, transverse sinus stenosis and elongated styloid process. Reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (RCVS) is characterized by severe headaches, with or without seizures and focal deficits, and diffuse segmental vasoconstriction of intracranial arteries that resolves within 12 weeks. The most common clinical symptom of RCVS is thunderclap headache. We report a case of exercise headache with non-thunderclap headache associated with RCVS.
